Information about Future Day on April 3, 2025
(formerly Boys'/Girls' Day)
Future Day is a career orientation day of action that takes place throughout Germany. Its aim is to give students impressions of the professional and working world, including examining gender-specific roles.
The participants spend a regular working day in a company and experience what that can look like.
All students in grades 5-11 are required to take part in Future Day 2025 as a school event. A prior application for leave of absence does not have to be submitted to the school. Instead, the class leaders will be informed about the places they have secured for the future day by March 13, 2025 at the latest by presenting them with the attached sections filled out by the parents. After April 3, 2025, please provide the class leaders with official confirmation of participation in the Future Day.
Since many other schools in Lower Saxony are also taking part in the Future Day, we recommend starting your search for a place now and contacting participating companies.
A minimum operational size is not required by the school. Completing the Future Day in companies run by parents or relatives is permitted. Family or friend networks can also be
used to find a place.
A great point of contact is the official radar of the Future Day website at

or

April 3, 2025 should be a study day for 12th grade students. Further information will follow. The 13th year does not take part because of the Abitur period, in which Future Day falls.
